Meet Uroš - Head of Training and
Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor
Uroš Todorović Mikšaj is a university graduate electrical engineer and experienced aviation professional holding a frozen ATPL (A) with multiple class, type, and instrument ratings.
He is qualified as a Flight Instructor (FI), Flight Examiner (FE), and Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (TKI) with privileges up to the ATPL level, allowing him to guide students through every stage of their training, from the fundamentals to the most advanced theory.
With years of experience working within several ATOs and DTOs, Uroš has built a strong reputation as both an instructor and a leader. Beyond his instructional and examining roles, he has also flown as a business jet pilot, bringing valuable real-world operational experience into the classroom and the cockpit.
Students appreciate his ability to connect detailed theoretical knowledge with practical flying in a clear, relatable, and engaging way.
As the Head of Training at Flight School Croatia since the school’s early days, Uroš plays a central role in shaping the training environment. He is responsible for maintaining high standards, supporting instructors, and ensuring that each student receives consistent, quality instruction. His approachable leadership style, combined with his deep technical knowledge, has helped create a learning atmosphere where students feel motivated, supported, and well-prepared for their aviation careers.

Meet Karlo - CEO, Founder and Accountable Manager
Karlo Kovač is a university graduate engineer of aeronautics and the founder of Flight School Croatia. Holding a frozen ATPL(A), he combines strong technical knowledge with hands-on flying experience. He has completed EASA-compliant training for Accountable Manager and Post Holder Operations roles, as well as courses in Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Teaching & Learning, providing him with a solid foundation in regulatory compliance, operational oversight, and aviation safety.
With a background in aviation management, documentation systems, and organizational leadership, Karlo has been instrumental in developing Flight School Croatia into a modern and student-focused training organisation.
His work includes overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth coordination between instructors and students, and maintaining the high standards expected of an EASA-regulated organisation.
Karlo’s combination of operational knowledge, regulatory training, and entrepreneurial vision continues to drive Flight School Croatia forward, fostering an environment where students feel supported, motivated, and confident as they begin their aviation journey.

Meet Ivan - Theoretical Knowledge Instructor and Flight Instructor
Meet Ivan Drnasin, one of our distinguished flight instructors and aviation experts. With over 8,500 flight hours and extensive experience as a Type Rating Instructor (TRI) and Captain on Airbus A320/321, Ivan brings exceptional expertise to our flight training program. Currently serving as a Captain and TRI/LTC with the Ryanair group, he holds multiple EASA certifications including ATPL, Flight Instructor (PPL, CPL, IRI, FI(FI)), and Flight Examiner (FE, IRE).
Ivan's impressive background includes roles with major airlines such as Wizz Air Hungary and Trade Air, where he has demonstrated his ability to maintain the highest standards of aviation excellence. His dedication to aviation education is evident through his extensive experience in flight instruction, having contributed to various prestigious flight schools including Pan Avia, Croatian Aviation Training Center ATO, and Albatros pilot school.
Beyond his technical expertise, Ivan is known for his detail-oriented approach, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills. His comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of aviation, combined with his active Flight Examiner status with the Croatian Civil Aviation Agency, makes him an invaluable asset to our training team.
A native of Split, Croatia, Ivan continues to expand his knowledge through ongoing education in Aviation Management at Buckinghamshire New University, embodying our commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
